STUDENTS' INNOVATION IN CODING ED SHOWCASED IN ARALINKS CONFAB

SPUP-Basic Education Unit (BEU) Students showcased their innovative creations focusing on the pressing environmental challenges èßäÊÓƵ coding education. The Aralinks ShowcACE event, held at Hotel Benilde Manila, on November 21, 2024 served as a platform for the display of ingenuity and technical expertise of students from across the nation.
Mr. Kanoa Garcia and Mr. Edward Antonio, presented their invention, OCEANET. This automated device is designed to clean up bodies of water by intercepting and collecting floating debris, microplastics, and surface oil. With its advanced design, Oceanet aims to combat water pollution and promote healthier marine ecosystems, demonstrating the students’ commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.Their mentor is Dr. Learni C. Javier.
The TRASH COLLECTOR WITH MAKEY-MAKEY CONTROLLER was developed by Mr. Phil Aldrich Llopis and Mr. Pierre Bernard Solis.Their project is an interactive system utilizing technology to make waste management more efficient and engaging, addressing the global issue of solid waste disposal with a creative solution. Ms. Jane Abella served as their coached.
The Aralinks ShowcACE event demonstrated how coding education and technology can address real-world problems. The ingenuity of BEU students stood out, earning admiration from attendees for their technical skill, creativity, and focus on sustainability.
