SPUP, through its Community Development Center (CDC) has partnered with Start Network, an organization based in the United Kingdom (UK) for the implementation of a Disaster Risk Anticipatory Action program. The said program provides Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) aid to the most vulnerable and at risk families, identified by SPUP-CDC with the help of local government units. The endeavor is also supported by Green Meadow Development Foundation, Philrads, Relief International, Tearfund, and Humanity & Inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On April 9-10, 2024, the processing of the “Know Your Customer” (KYC) requirements of the said community development program was facilitated. The said activity, conducted by SPUP-CDC and Green Meadow, was meant to ensure that pre-identified beneficiaries can claim anticipatory cash during Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) activation (at the onset of a disaster occurence).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
