SPUP’s annual Christmas Apostolate to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) was held on December 11, 2024, at the Cagayan Provincial Jail (CPJ in Carig) and Tuguegarao City District Jail (TCDJ in Catagamman) respectively. SPC Sisters, SPUP administrators, faculty, staff, students and members of the SPUP Alumni Association (SPUPAA, Inc.) joined together to bring in Christmas dubbed as “Blessings Behind Bars.”
This year’s apostolate gave an opportunity to the PDLs and to the members of SPUP academic community to celebrate together the Birth of Jesus èƵ a BEC Session (Sharing of the Word). The celebration was also filled with songs of the Yuletide season. The management of CPJ, èƵ Mr. Catalino Arugay (Provincial Jail Warden) and TCDJ, èƵ Jail Senior Inspector Allan Jay Sunico (TCDJ Warden) expressed their appreciation and gratitude to SPUP and SPUPAA, Inc. for their assistance and contribution to the well-being of the PDLs.
